In the fall of 2012, middle and high school students may enroll in two semester's of literary analysis. The language of literature and literary analysis will be taught first through poetry and short stories. The school year will culminate with the reading of three classic titles and the analysis thereof. (Book selections yet to be determined.) Students should be confident with IEW structure and style, moving towards proficiency in writing essays. In addition to the writing assignments, grammar and vocabulary studies will round out the course, earning the student a full English credit.
Interested families should contact Mrs. Burton with information about their students availability in the fall. Typically, classes have been taught late on Tuesday morning, but the schedule is flexible.
