Excerpt from The Pioneer Woman's blog post:

Back from the THSC Southwest Convention and Family ConferenceMy FAVORITE speaker at the conference was Andrew Pudewa.
The room was packed tight. The aisles and walls were lined with the overflow and no one seemed to mind–he is THAT good.
Inspired by Dr. Leonard Sax books, Why Gender Matters: What Parents and Teachers Need to Know about the Emerging Science of Sex Differences and Boys Adrift: The Five Factors Driving the Growing Epidemic of Unmotivated Boys and Underachieving Young Men, Pudewa gave a fresh perspective on how and why gender plays such a big part in teaching and learning.
This particular workshop was “boy” focused, but he did drive home a few points for the girls as well. While I’ve already grasped the importance of relevance and learning, Pudewa tossed me a few more bones to chew on AND a few more books to add to my Amazon Wish List (since my Amazon budget is currently non-existent).
