We have such creativity in our circle of IEW instructors! Here is an idea and lessons from IEW Accredited Instructor Patsy Brekke:
I just used the Linguistic Development Through Poetry Memorization program to make handwriting practice pages for my daughter this year. I am so happy with them, I just have to share. I even made them downloadable for anyone else who might like to use them.
I'm excited to finally have handwriting content that will hold her interest and have purpose. She's my "funny bunny" of the three and enjoys anything laced with humor. Thus, I used poems like "Ooey Gooey" and "Rebecca, Who Slammed Doors for Fun and Perished Miserably" by Hillaire Belloc. I printed 4 of each lesson, so she will practice the same poem (or portion of a poem) for 4 days in a row, and we will practice them out loud along the way as well. We're using Pre-Cursive slanted font at this time. (I did another set in Modern Cursive too.)
Here's the link if you would like to see/use them.
