Jennifer Kimbrell

I am a passionate advocate of IEW, with 8.5 years of experience teaching IEW to middle school and high school students! My classes, which meet in my home, run the entire school year, from September through the beginning of May. In March I hold an Open House, where I begin accepting enrollment for the coming school year. Level 1 classes usually fill up within 2 to 4 weeks. References are available; I encourage interested parents to talk to me and to current and past families in order to determine if my classes are appropriate for their students.

I teach three levels of IEW Composition: Level 1(Basic), Level 2 (High School ) and Level 3 (College Preparatory). Students receive a custom handbook created specifically for their class. Each class meets once every 2 weeks, and a parent must agree to serve as the student's Editor.

Enrollment requirements: Level 1 is for 7th grade and up, Level 2 for 8th grade and up, and Level 3 for 9th grade and up. Students must have completed the preceding level(s) or equivalent IEW instruction before enrolling in Level 2 or 3. Students who have taken IEW classes with another instructor must be evaluated by me before they may enroll in Level 2 or 3.
