Certified Instructors

• Have completed all the requirements for a Registered Instructor, including application, assignments, and the registration fee* PLUS
• Have demonstrated experience and proficiency in leading students through the nine units of Teaching Writing: Structure and Style using stylistic techniques
• Receive promotional support such as referrals from IEW via our website or phone calls

*There is a $50 application fee, with an additional $50 due when the application is approved.

Requirements
• Pays the $50 application fee, with an additional $50 due when the application is approved.
• Completes the requirements for a Registered Instructor, including TWSS practicum assignments, plus:
• Completes the Accreditation Application
• Submits one-page lesson plan overview (See Sample)
• Submits student work samples from three different students, a high, medium, and low-level performing student from the beginning and end of course (6 work samples in total)
• Provides two letters of recommendation, one from a parent and one from a student

Benefits
• Receives periodic e-newsletters, with helpful hints and suggestions from Andrew Pudewa and others
• Is entitled to use specially designed logos with the IEW Registered Trademark, exclusively designed for use by Certified Instructors for promoting their classes and validating their relationship with IEW
• Gains promotional support such as Certified Instructor’s contact and course offerings information posted on IEW website (optional)
• Receives discounted tuition fees for teacher/parent training events hosted by IEW
• IEW website access upgraded to receive a 10% discount on all products purchased via IEW website
Renewable
• Every two years by paying the renewal fee of $50
• Submits student work samples from three different students, a high, medium, and low-level performing student from the beginning and end of course (six work samples in total)
• Provides two letters of recommendation, one from a parent and one from a student
• Shows evidence of continuing education in IEW methods
