With our first summer internship successfully concluded, we are happy to announce our Summer 2012 Freedomship Internship!
Tired of the same old summer job? Looking for a chance to apply your skills to meaningful projects? Want to spruce up your resume with significant work experience?
The Institute for Excellence in Writing will be looking for enthusiastic college-age students (18-25 years) who are willing to dedicate themselves and their summer to personal and professional growth while assisting in the advancement of new IEW products and projects.
Dates: June 1-July 27, 2013 (6 week minimum commitment, dates are somewhat flexible)
Location: Locust Grove, OK
Housing and meals included.
Applications for Summer 2013 Internship will be posted in January of 2013.
Duties include developing strategies and procedures for a marketing, public relations, and social media plan, creating presentation and promotional content, website content, and assisting IEW’s Marketing Director with day to day marketing tasks.
Requirements: Applicants must be familiar with IEW Structure & Style writing methods, have a positive attitude, be willing to work hard, take direction well, follow through on commitments and assignments, must own a laptop computer with wireless capability and Office Applications. Additionally, it would be helpful if he or she knows In Design, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Facebook, Twitter, HTML.
Duties include assisting with the creation of new video content for web and DVD, reorganizing web content, researching online meeting, classes, and webinar applications for audio and video streaming delivery, and assisting IEW’s Manager of Information Systems in day to day tasks.
Requirements: Applicants must be familiar with IEW Structure & Style writing methods, have a positive attitude, be willing to work hard, take direction well, follow through on commitments and assignments, must own a laptop computer with wireless capability and Office Applications. Additionally, he or she must know basic HTML, video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, YouTube. Nice to have by not absolutely essential: In Design, Adobe Encore, PowerPoint, PHP, previous website design. Please share links to websites you have designed.

In addition to gaining work experience and skills by working with experienced professionals in their respective areas, interns will have many opportunities to work for and learn directly from Andrew Pudewa, Director of the Institute for Excellence in Writing.
Application process includes the following and all components must be submitted by April 1, 2013. Earlier submissions are gratefully accepted.
1. Submit the application with appropriate experience and references documented
2. Include a five paragraph essay on why and how you would be a good candidate for this position
3. If possible, ask your professor, pastor, or mentor to write a brief letter of recommendation
4. Applicants will be notified by April 30.
