Join IEW Accredited Instructors Denise Kelley, Cinda Tribble, and Pamela White for our Institute for Excellence in Writing® Online Writing Classes using IEW's award-winning Student Writing Intensive DVD and instructional materials.
Enrollment is open for the summer and fall 2012 classes
For students who have completed the Student Writing Intensive course and are ready to continue:
These classes are taught live using the Adobe Connect Web Conferencing platform. Your students will SEE a live video of their instructor and a Slideshow presentation of the materials, HEAR the instructor through their computer's headphone or speakers, and be able to answer questions via CHAT (typing) for all students to see. Additionally, students will watch the Student Writing Intensive DVD course as part of their homework assignments and will submit writing assignments via email either scanned in or as attachments so that the instructor can provide helpful feedback.
Because this is a distance-learning program, parents are expected to be involved in the learning process, which includes attending classes or listening to the class recordings as often as possible, and asking the instructor questions via email or Skype as often needed. (Instructor's contact information is provided to parents of enrolled students.) This will give students the best possible chance of success!
Important: If your student struggles with writing, consider beginning in one lower level, which will cover much of the same material but at a slower pace and with more practice with the concepts.
