This year we asked our friends at The Old Schoolhouse Homeschool Crew, who are committed to giving honest reviews, to look at a few of our products and to share their experiences with the world on their blogs. (A bit nervy of us, don’t you think?) You can find links to their curriculum reviews on our writing program and other products including Teaching Boys DVD and The Phonetic Zoo on their website. Ending the year with a celebration, The Old Schoolhouse Crew handed out awards to various companies that they reviewed. While we fit in many of their categories (writing, spelling, language arts, etc.), candidates are only able to win in one single category—with one exception. We are delighted to have won the Blue Ribbon Award in the following categories: Favorite Language Arts Product and the highly coveted All Around Crew Favorite! This is indeed an honor! A huge thank-you to all our buddies and bloggers who make up The Old Schoolhouse Crew!

Practical Homeschooling Reader Awards have just been released, and we’re so pleased to announce that their readers have once again overwhelmingly declared IEW to be their #1 choice for writing. Now, for 12 years running, IEW’s Teaching Writing: Structure & Style has topped their list as the best writing program.

We’re just as pleased to announce that IEW’s The Phonetic Zoo was selected as their readers' choice for the best spelling program for the second year in a row!
