I am currently homeschooling my Son (10) who was diagnosed with Asperger's Disorder and a Learning Disability in Written Expression. Three years ago, I saw the Teaching Writing Structure and Style materials at a homeschool book fair and thought it looked great, but too expensive. I was homeschooling two children at that time. The writing workbooks I wound up buying that year turned out to be a waste of paper.

The following year, I looked at TWSS again and still was unwilling to spend the money for something I didn't know would work so I bought MORE useless workbooks. I thought that, since writing was always my best subject, that it would be easy for me to teach without any formal curriculum.

Finally, after two years of struggling, I realized that the fact that I was a good writer made me a terrible writing teacher for my son. I had no idea how to teach him concepts that seemed obvious to me.

Finally, this year I bought the whole TWSS/Student Writing Intensive package and I wish with all my heart that I had bought it right off the bat. My kids would be so much farther along and it would have saved me a ton of stress! Live & learn. I'm looking forward to learning more about how to better utilize the program for my kids.
